Maybe things were going well at first, so you stopped going to meetings or reaching out for support. Now life has thrown you a curve ball and you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or depressed. Whatever is happening, you’re starting to feel the impact of this in every facet of your life:
Does this sound like you?
Short-tempered with your spouse or family, and they are worried about you.
Feeling stressed at work and not sure how to unwind in a healthy manner.
Having trouble setting healthy boundaries, saying “yes” when you really want to say “no.”
Tired of the cycle of relapse and recovery.
there is a way forward
Therapy to address the
root causes of addiction can help.
Addiction is very common. In fact, most people have some kind of addiction, either chemical or behavioral. This can range from alcohol and drugs, to phone and shopping, to relationships, gambling, food or sex. Addictions are usually the result of pain—emotional and/or physical—and they develop as a coping mechanism to numb or escape from this pain. The process of recovery includes admitting that this old coping mechanism is now hurting more than it’s helping, and then learning new healthier ways of coping. Sometimes it’s necessary to look at past trauma, including childhood trauma, that needs healing. I will help you navigate the journey of recovery, to find healing, joy, and fulfillment in your life.
Addiction and recovery therapy helps you do the following:
Look at your past, including your childhood and adult relationships, to discover the root causes of addiction, such as trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, chronic pain, and more.
Increase emotional awareness to identify and process feelings, both current and from the past.
Learn healthy coping skills that are going to work for you and your lifestyle.
Set boundaries in your relationships so you can feel empowered to live life to its fullest potential.
here is the truth:
You are not broken or damaged! You are a work in progress, learning and growing on the journey to long-term sobriety.
Imagine a life where…

That’s okay. Perhaps you are starting to question a behavior but not sure if it is an addiction, a bad habit, or acceptable. I will help you get the clarity you are looking for in a non-judgmental setting where you are in charge of what behaviors you want to change, modify, or accept in your life.

No. However, it is recommended that you do not come to therapy in an altered state. To make the most of your therapy sessions, it is important to have a clear mind, free from alcohol or drugs. If you are struggling to maintain sobriety, it may be recommended that you attend a detox or residential treatment program before starting therapy. Sometimes treatment is best to help you stabilize and have a healthy foundation for your recovery.
